The VNA of Central PA … has a history rich in innovative home health care dating back to 1899, when initiated by Mrs. Helen Boyd Dull who hired a nurse to visit homes, care for their sick and instruct family members in how to avoid infection during a local typhoid epidemic. With personal and financial support from the wives and daughters of Harrisburg's founding families, the VNA became incorporated in 1906 and continued to expand its services to meet the ever-changing healthcare needs of area children and adults.
